Overview

Nestled in the heart of Córdoba at C. Cruz Conde, 32, CHURROS BAR MARTA stands out as a quintessential coffee shop revered for its artisanal take on churros and traditional Spanish breakfast fare. This cozy corner, favored by both locals and travelers, offers an authentic experience marked by warmth and genuine hospitality.

The main attraction here is undoubtedly the Churros con Chocolate Caliente. Served fresh and notably light, these churros strike the perfect balance between airy interiors and a crisp exterior. They are anything but oily, elevating the traditional snack to a refined treat. Paired with a richly decadent hot chocolate, the combination offers a comforting respite, especially during chilly mornings in Córdoba’s historic city center.

Beyond churros, the menu is a heartfelt homage to Spanish breakfast classics. Items such as Tostada de Mollete Tomate Aceite y Jamón and the Media Tostada de Jamón con Café con Leche provide savory counterpoints to the sweeter offerings. These tostadas boast a satisfying crunch with fresh tomato, olive oil, and quality Iberian ham, embracing the simple yet powerful flavors of Andalucía’s culinary palette.

What truly enriches the visit is the inviting atmosphere of CHURROS BAR MARTA. The space feels intimate and bustling, a gathering spot where conversations flow as freely as the coffee. The staff, as noted by numerous patrons, deliver attentive and personable service that transcends language barriers, adding to the welcoming feel of the establishment.

For anyone seeking a genuine taste of Córdoba’s breakfast culture, this spot offers both tradition and comfort. Whether you’re drawn by the iconic churros with their perfectly paired chocolate, or the rustic tostadas and well-crafted café con leche, CHURROS BAR MARTA is a destination that promises warmth, quality, and a true sense of place.

Perfectly cozy, we walked in, the waiter asked us “churros?” and immediately brought us a plate full of churros and two cups of hot chocolate. It was a cold day and this was the first place in the city where we felt warm. We sat there for over an hour, and the place seemed popular among tourists and locals alike. The service was very kind. And it was also quite cheap! Overall would recommend stopping there for a snack (but I would recommend coming a bit hungry, it was quite filling tbh).

The churros are fresh and not oily, it is the best we have in Spain. The waiters are very nice, even we don’t speak Spanish, they understand what we want and treat us well. We came again the next morning to enjoy the churros. The price is very reasonable and we highly recommend.

We found this place via Google reviews so feel compelled to repay the favour. It was an excellent spot for breakfast - we attempted to order 2 chocolate con churros but was cautioned that it would be too much so the waitress suggested alternatives. This was really appreciated for someone new to the local breakfast culture. The hot chocolate was superb; churros were great (airy and not doughy); the toast with tomato and jamon was delicious really crunchy and good. Fantastic and friendly service too, we felt great starting off our day with breakfast here. It gets busy and for good reason!

This place had amazing churros. Fluffy on the outside yet crispy on the outside. Our server, Ricardo, was an absolute legend. He took care of us during a very busy time at the restaurant. We enjoyed starting our morning there! I recommend this place for good cafe con leche, churros, and tostadas de tomate y jamón.

Definitely the best churros to be had when you are in Córdoba. I've been here multiple times and didn't have a bad experience. Waiters can be in a hurry, but that's understandable since there are lots of people coming in and out. "Chocolate y churros" is what you want to get. Churros on its own isn't sweet, but that's how it's supposed to be around here. If you want something that's not sweet, you can get a "tostada" with a coffee, although the coffee isn't great. Overall, an iconic spot in Córdoba, would recommend.

Quick service and friendly servers. Very affordable and the chocolate was not very sweet which is perfect. The churros were a little bit on the greasier side but still delicious. They offer coffee with soya if you would like dairy alternatives.

Fantastic churros. Not oily, a bit salty, big, not some basic ones from a supermarket. In a group of 5 we ordered 3 coffees, 3 bottles of water, 2 plates of churros + chocolate and this was more than enough. Although glasses to drink from were a bit dirty. We paid 15,70€. Amazing price for the amount of food we ordered. Great place to eat for cheap.
